A Sochi resident was sentenced to 13 years in prison in a strict regime colony for cooperating with the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in the exploration of the Black Sea coastal territories. This was announced on December 18 by the united press service of the courts of the Krasnodar Territory.

"In June 2023, he independently contacted representatives of the SBU, agreeing to provide them with confidential cooperation on the implementation of technical and visual reconnaissance of the coastal territories of the Black Sea," the press service said in a statement posted on the Telegram channel.

It is specified that during the court session the man fully admitted his guilt and repented of the crime. According to the article on high treason, he was sentenced to 13 years in prison, and 130 thousand rubles were recovered from the convict. The verdict has not yet entered into force.

On the same day, Russian FSB officers reported the detention of 19 people who served the communication channels used by the special services of Ukraine in September-October of this year. The ministry noted that the detainees acted for the money they received from foreign curators. This was confirmed by correspondence on the phones seized from the defendants. During the searches, the operatives also confiscated more than 40 SIM boxes, over 9,000 SIM cards and SIM chips.
