Simonyan was awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of Krasnodar"

Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya international media group and RT TV channel, was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of Krasnodar. This was announced on December 18 by the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory, Veniamin Kondratiev.

"Margarita Simonyan was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of Krasnodar. This is a well-deserved recognition. I know her as a person whose principles have always remained firm and whose professionalism is at the highest level," Kondratiev wrote on his Telegram channel.

He also noted that Simonyan was born in the city and it was here that she began her professional career in journalism.
