A court in St. Petersburg has detained a ninth-grader who stabbed a teacher until February 15, 2026. This was announced on December 18 by the joint press service of the courts of St. Petersburg in the Telegram channel.

"The court of the city of St. Petersburg issued a decision on the choice of a preventive measure in the form of detention in respect of minor A., accused of committing a crime under Part 3 of art. 30 - part 1 of art.105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation," the publication says.

It is specified that on December 15, the defendant in the school's office, using an unidentified object with piercing and cutting properties, struck the teacher at least three times in the torso area. According to the press service, the student failed to bring his criminal intent, as the victim left the scene.
