Conditions have been named for resuming the search for the missing Usoltsev family

The active search for the missing Usoltsev family in the Krasnoyarsk Territory will resume only after the onset of suitable weather conditions, including the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was announced on December 18 by the representative of the regional detachment "LizaAlert" Serafima Choodu.

"The squad is at a low start — we are waiting for suitable weather conditions to resume on—site searches, including in a point-by-point format, for example, performing tasks involving UAVs," Choodu told RIA Novosti.

At the moment, the average daily temperature in the area of the family's disappearance ranges from -14 to -30 degrees. Frosts increase to -40 degrees at night.

On September 28, the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Krasnoyarsk Territory reported the loss of the Usoltsev family in the Minsk Loop area when they were heading to Mount Pinocchio. At the same time, over 515 km of forest roads and 40 square kilometers of woodlands were explored in search of missing tourists.

The active phase of the search was completed on October 12, but the work will continue in the format of point tasks, which will be performed by certified rescuers and professionals. Also, on October 22, investigators called the accident the main version of the family's disappearance.

Gennady Kabanov, Deputy head of the Penza Fire and Rescue Center, said on December 8 that the Usoltsev family could get lost and freeze in the forest. Kabanov noted that the Usoltsevs probably just got lost, and fatigue, hunger and cold led to their deaths.

On December 13, Alexey Eremin, head of the GSU of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region and Khakassia, said that the Usoltsevs could presumably have been the victim of a crime. He clarified that active work with witnesses is currently continuing, and their questioning is being carried out as planned.
