The teenager who was injured in Anna Khobotova's rehab has not yet come out of his coma

A teenager who was admitted to the intensive care unit with kidney failure after staying at the Anna Khobotova rehabilitation center in Dedovsk, Moscow region, still remains in a coma. This was announced on December 18 by a source of Izvestia.

"A 16-year-old boy is in extremely serious condition," the source said.

At the end of November, his mother Svetlana told Izvestia that the teenager was in intensive care. She clarified that traces of bondage and torture, festering wounds and dissections were found on the student's body. According to the woman, while in rehab, her son slept on the floor for two weeks without a blanket or pillow. The teenager's family was convinced that the institution would help the teenager get rid of his dependence on the phone.

The court arrested two suspects, but nothing is known about the whereabouts of the clinic's owner, psychologist Anna Khobotova.

A criminal case was opened on November 25 for the torture and detention of 24 teenagers in an illegal rehabilitation center. According to the investigation, psychologists were supposed to work with minors, but teenagers were beaten and tortured.

On November 28, the Istra District Court arrested the organizer of the rehab, Anna Khobotova. A criminal case was opened against her under articles on intentional infliction of serious harm to health by a group of persons, torture of minors, provision of services that do not meet safety requirements, as well as unlawful imprisonment. The woman did not admit her guilt.

An 18-year-old girl who participated in the beating of teenagers in rehab was placed under house arrest on November 26. In addition, a former employee of the institution told Izvestia that one of the center's consultants had an intimate relationship with underage students.
