Entrepreneur Polina Lurie. Biography
Polina Lurie is a 35—year-old entrepreneur from Moscow, the daughter of influential IT specialist Alexander Sobachkin and a single mother. Her name was heard all over the country after she bought an elite apartment from People's Artist of Russia Larisa Dolina, who became a victim of fraud, which led to long legal proceedings and a wide public outcry.
Family
Polina Lurie (nee Filatova) was born on April 6, 1990 in Moscow, into a large family living in the Perovo district. Her childhood was spent in an atmosphere where education and science were valued.
Polina's father, Alexander Sobachkin, is a candidate of physico—mathematical sciences, the author of scientific publications and the book SolidWorks, which is widely cited in the professional environment. For a long time, he headed the Russian division of the American Mentor Graphics corporation. Currently, he holds a senior position at T1 Holding, a leading system integrator in Russia.
Svetlana Filatova's mother was educated at the Second Moscow Pirogov State Medical Institute and devoted herself to medicine, working as an allergist. In addition to Polina, three more children grew up in the family: two older brothers— Nikolai and Stepan, and a younger sister, Tatiana.
Nikolay graduated from the Tax Academy of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation and is engaged in entrepreneurship. Stepan is a graduate of Moscow State Technical University (Bauman Moscow State Technical University). He, like his father, works in the IT field. Tatiana chose a creative path, devoting herself to choreography.
Education
Polina studied at the Faculty of Sociology of Moscow State University (Lomonosov Moscow State University), graduating with honors in 2012. Later, despite her humanitarian education, she connected her professional activity with the field of information technology, in which her father excelled.
After graduating from university, Polina began her career in a Russian company engaged in the development of engineering software. It was at this job that she met her future husband, Evgeny Lurie, an entrepreneur in the field of construction and installation work.
Over time, Polina's professional interests shifted to the field of asset management. In the spring of 2024, she officially registered as an individual entrepreneur, indicating her main activity as "renting and managing her own or leased real estate."
This decision subsequently played a key role in the litigation, as, in the opinion of one of the parties, it was supposed to give her increased discretion in matters of real estate transactions.
The Deal of the Century
Lurie signed a purchase and sale agreement for five-room apartments in Dolina in the Khamovniki district of the capital in June 2024. The transaction amount amounted to 112 million rubles, which, according to experts, is significantly lower than the market price, which was estimated at about 138 million rubles.
As the buyer herself later explained, the singer explained the sale of the apartment with plans to move to more spacious housing. This explanation seemed logical to Lurie, and the transaction itself was executed in compliance with all legal formalities — through a real estate agency, with a full package of documents and subsequent data entry into the Federal Register.
Shortly after the conclusion of the contract, it became clear that Larisa Dolina had been the victim of a large-scale fraud. For several months, the attackers, posing as law enforcement officers, exerted psychological pressure on the singer. They convinced her of the need to fictitiously sell the apartment and transfer the proceeds to "secure accounts."
Acting in accordance with these instructions, Dolina signed a real purchase and sale agreement and transferred the money to the scammers. When the scam was revealed, the artist filed a lawsuit to invalidate the deal. In response, Lurie filed a counterclaim for the eviction of the singer and her family members.
In March 2025, the Khamovnichesky Court of Moscow, and then the Moscow City Court and the Second Court of Cassation ruled in favor of Dolina, canceling the deal and returning her ownership of housing. Thus, the buyer was in danger of losing both the money and the apartment, since it was extremely difficult to recover funds from convicted fraudsters in practice.
Disagreeing with this verdict, Polina Lurie's lawyer Svetlana Sviridenko filed a complaint with the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation. The defense insisted on the good faith of the purchase, the adequacy of the seller during the face-to-face meeting and the market nature of the price, which, according to them, was reduced due to the lack of parking spaces and a playground.
The decision of the Supreme Court
The session of the Supreme Court was held on December 16, 2025 in an open mode. The court overturned all previous judicial acts, recognizing the buyer's ownership of the apartment. The singer herself was not present at the meeting. Her interests were represented by lawyer Maria Pukhova.
The issue of Dolina and her granddaughter's eviction from the apartment has been sent for a new review to the court of appeal. According to the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the capital, the Moscow City Court will consider the case on December 25.
Throughout the entire trial, which lasted about a year and a half, Polina Lurie avoided publicity, did not comment to the press and carefully guarded her privacy. She made her first and only public comment on December 17, 2025 on the air of the program "Let them Talk".
Lurie said that she was at home with her children and family, celebrating the victory, and thanked everyone who supported her, especially noting the work of her lawyer.
Personal life
Polina Lurie's personal life remained out of the public domain for a long time, the details became known only in connection with the trial. She was married to entrepreneur Evgeny Lurie. From this marriage, the couple had a son.
After several years of marriage, the marriage broke up. After the divorce, Polina left her husband's last name, and her son lives with her. Some sources also indicate that Polina has two children, aged eight and four.
It is known about Evgeny Lurie that he headed the NIAT-MASH company, which supplied metal structures for warehouses from a European manufacturer. The company is now declared bankrupt.
Earlier it was reported that Lurie currently lives with her children in an apartment purchased jointly with her ex-husband.
