The Second Eastern District Military Court sentenced 54-year-old Sergei Yeremeyev to 22 years in prison for the terrorist attack in 2023 in the Severomuisk tunnel on the Baikal-Amur Mainline (BAM). This was announced on December 18 on the website of the Prosecutor General's Office.

"In accordance with the position of the state prosecution, the Second Eastern District Military Court sentenced Yeremeyev to 22 years in a high—security penal colony, including the first five years in prison, with a fine of 1 million rubles," the press service wrote.
