Lukashenko says it is impossible to contain China's progress
On December 18, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said in an interview with the American Newmax TV channel that China makes technological revolutions every year, and today no one is able to restrain its progress.
"I came and said in parliament: we need to build relations with the Chinese state. There is a great future there. <...> I saw the economy first of all. And I saw that China would develop," the Belarusian BelTA news agency quoted Lukashenko as saying.
He noted that he had observed the rapid development of China for 30 years. According to him, it is now obvious that China is becoming a leader, and this is causing concern on the part of the United States, which has been trying to restrain its development for 20 years.
On the same day, the Belarusian leader said that the American initiative of the "Key Five" (Core 5, C5), which could include Russia, China, Japan, the United States and India, could change the world.
