Psychoanalyst Stella Gusarova spoke about the causes of total fatigue before the New Year.

In an interview with Radio 1 on Wednesday, December 17, the expert explained that the lack of festive mood is associated with general anxiety and a loss of a basic sense of security. According to her, the holiday has historically been a ritual of restarting, but for its living, the psyche needs resources that are not enough in a state of constant self-preservation. Such a reaction, according to the expert, is natural in conditions of external uncertainty: it is difficult for a person to relax and join in the festive ritual.

She suggested that the holiday be perceived not as entertainment, but as a collective archaic rite, symbolically drawing a line and forming a new order. According to Gusarova, the lack of mood is not a pathology, but serves as a signal.

To return the inner response, you should not force yourself to ostentatious fun — sometimes it is enough to reduce the scale of the holiday to simple and honest forms, such as a calm ritual or a conversation with yourself, the psychoanalyst added.

The day before, psychologist and psychotherapist Olga Avanesyan told how to make a wish in the New Year to make it come true. She noted that there is a technique called "three P's — accept, present, the first step," which turns a New Year's "I want" into a plan, notes 360.ru . According to the expert, after that it is necessary to decide which small but concrete step can be taken as early as January 1-2 to achieve your goal, writes RT.

On the same day, psychologist Irina Turkova, in an interview with Life.ru She told me how not to compare my New Year with the "perfect" holidays from social networks. According to the expert, the main problem is cognitive distortion: "Everyone has it except me." Turkova advises you to limit your time on social media to congratulate your loved ones, rather than flipping through the feed.

Psychologist Marina Rozenova in an interview with the website kp.ru On December 15, she listed the advantages of ignoring the New Year. According to her, any holiday, even a joyful one, causes stress because it disrupts the usual rhythm of life. Regime change, post-holiday fatigue, and the need to return to a regular routine require energy and can contribute to the development of depression.
