Nutritionist Alla Makarova told how to spend the holidays without feeling heavy in the stomach.

In an interview with Radio 1 on Wednesday, December 17, she shared life hacks on "lightening" traditional dishes and the main mistake that people repeat from year to year.

The expert noted that on New Year's Eve you can afford salads and sandwiches, but the usual dishes should be made more useful. So, olivier, according to her, can be "lightened" by replacing sausage with chicken breast or veal, and mayonnaise with Greek yogurt or sour cream with mustard.

Makarova also advised using cottage cheese instead of butter in sandwiches, and thinly slicing bread or replacing it with bread rolls. Sweets, according to the expert, it is better to partially replace fruits or lower—calorie desserts - over time it is easy to get used to such options and they do not cause heaviness.

The nutritionist emphasized that you should not cook too much food and strive to eat everything, and on a festive evening it is better to focus on emotions and communication, rather than on the number of dishes.

Earlier that day, nutritionist Nuria Dianova warned that avoiding butter in favor of high-quality vegetable spreads and margarine could significantly reduce overall mortality and the risk of serious diseases. The expert stressed that cardiovascular diseases remain the main cause of death worldwide, so changing eating habits is one of the most effective ways to prevent it, notes Life.ru .

Also on December 17, endocrinologist Ekaterina Ivannikova in an interview with the website kp.ru She shared how to make the best menu for elderly relatives for the New Year. She warned that alcohol negatively affects the brain, loads the liver and kidneys, and in older people its concentration in the body increases faster than in young people. According to her, this can lead to imbalance, slower reactions, and an increased risk of falls and fractures.

The day before, nutritionist and nutritionist Sofya Kovanova told how to lose weight quickly after a series of New Year's dinners. She noted that the sooner a person returns to their normal diet after the holidays, the easier it will be to regain their original weight.

Before that, nutritionist Natalia Lazurenko, in a conversation with NSN, said that tangerines can dramatically increase blood glucose levels. According to her, if a person has no contraindications, then you can eat up to 300 grams of tangerines per day, writes RT.
