According to him, in such situations, school principals are often held responsible, but they cannot be responsible for the complete safety of children. This raises the question of the role of school security, since it is the security organizations that are responsible for the security of specific educational institutions. At the same time, the expert stressed that the security guard is physically unable to control everything that students bring to school, but he is obliged to give a timely alarm at the first signs of a threat.

Fonarev also pointed out that security actions in such cases should be structured according to a well-defined algorithm. In addition, in his opinion, it is important to work with school principals and staff in advance, since such crimes are often committed by former students who return to the educational institution, and it is necessary to understand the reasons for such situations.
