The head of the trade union named the factors of wage growth in the Russian regions

Salary growth in Russia is linked to a strategic focus on the development of individual regions, overseen at the highest level. Alexey Nezhivoy, head of the operational headquarters of the Independent Trade Union Novy Trud, told Izvestia about this. According to him, not only the level of wages, but also purchasing power remains an important indicator.

The value of a salary of 100 thousand rubles is relative, its real relevance depends on the dynamics of prices for goods and services, said Nezhivoy. Even if the milestone is reached in other regions, it will not lead to income equalization across the country, as the leading territories will strive for the next milestone — 200 thousand rubles.

— The real indicator of well—being is the ratio of income to the cost of a basic set of products and services, as well as the remainder, which can be used to meet other, higher—level needs, - added Alexey Nezhivoy.

He stressed that consumer demand is declining, which indicates an increase in inflation, outstripping the increase in wages. At the same time, low labor productivity and the replacement of scarce personnel by migration labor remain urgent problems.
