In November 2025, Russians purchased 588.7 thousand used passenger cars. This is 9.9% less than a month earlier, but 12.2% more than the result of November last year, the analytical agency Autostat told Izvestia on December 18.

Lada still retains leadership among brands in the secondary market - 134.7 thousand such used cars were purchased in the last month of autumn. The second place belongs to the Japanese Toyota, whose figure was 58.9 thousand units. This is followed by the Korean brands Kia and Hyundai (34.8 thousand and 33.3 thousand units, respectively). German Volkswagen closes the top five this time (25.8 thousand units). The second five included Nissan, Chevrolet, BMW, Honda and Renault.

In the top ten, all brands show a decrease in relation to the level of a month ago, and Kia sank more strongly (-12.3%). In annual comparison, all brands except Lada (-0.9%) are "in the black". BMW shows the biggest growth (+47.4%).

The most popular model among used passenger cars remains the Lada/VAZ 2107 sedan. In November, Russians bought 12.6 thousand. "sevens."

This is followed by the "Koreans" — Kia Rio (11.2 thousand units) and Hyundai Solaris (10.9 thousand units). The Lada 4x4/Niva SUV (9.9 thousand units) took the fourth place in the rating. The top five aftermarket leaders this time were rounded out by the Ford Focus, which had a November result of 9.6 thousand units. Next are the Toyota Corolla, Lada 2114, Toyota Camry, Lada 2170 and Lada 2190.

In comparison with October, all the presented models show negative dynamics. At the same time, the situation is best with the Toyota Camry (-5.9%), and worse than others with the Kia Rio (-14.2%). Compared to November 2024, six models showed growth, and the Toyota Camry was the strongest (+18%). Four Cadas turned out to be "in the red", namely: Niva (-0.2%), Seven (-5.6%), Priora sedan (-9.1%) and fourteenth (-14%).

Experts from the Autostat agency also reported that 59.8 thousand used cars were imported to Russia at the end of autumn. And this is slightly less than the October historical record (59.9 thousand units). In their opinion, the high import volumes are related to the new recycling fee, which came into force on December 1.

This is 2.9% higher than in October and 16% more than in November last year.
