After the restriction of its operation in Russia, the Roblox platform contacted Roskomnadzor (RCN) with a willingness to cooperate in order to take the necessary measures to remove destructive and dangerous information, curb criminal actions and user communications, the Russian agency's website reported on December 17.

The RCN noted that the management of the platform currently recognizes that it has insufficiently ensured both the moderation of content in games and the security of chats between users and has expressed its readiness to gradually bring its work in Russia in line with the requirements of Russian legislation.

"If this is not only a statement, but also a real willingness of the platform to change its attitude to ensuring the safety of children on the Internet, then Roskomnadzor will interact with the platform, as with any other service that complies with Russian legislation," Roskomnadzor added.

Earlier that day, Roblox informed TASS that it was ready to temporarily restrict its communications services in Russia in order to restore user access to the game. They also clarified that the company is currently in dialogue with the RCN and intends to continue it as access to the platform is restored, including discussing additional measures to comply with the necessary requirements.

On December 3, Roskomnadzor restricted access to Roblox in Russia.
