More than 310 thousand students and schoolchildren studied IT skills at VK Education in 2025

VK Education summarizes the results of the year: more than 310 thousand students and participants in intellectual competitions, an increase in the number of educational programs to 135, expansion of partnerships with 37 leading universities of the country through the launch of joint bachelor's, master's and unified practice programs. The top areas of study in 2025 include artificial intelligence, machine learning, and development.

In 2025, 110,000 students completed VK Education programs in the fields of artificial intelligence, development, information security, and creative industries. 135 educational programs were implemented. The top popular courses among students include courses on the basics of AI and machine learning, algorithms and data structures, basic Python, IT product management and the development of web services on Golang. The number of students who joined the VK team based on the results of their studies at VK Education programs has doubled to 258 people.

VK Education has expanded its cooperation with more than 37 leading Russian universities. In 2025, the unified practice program was launched for the first time for students of 11 universities, including Lomonosov Moscow State University, St. Petersburg State University, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, NUST MISIS, MAI, MEPhI, HSE, ITMO, TSU, UrFU and SPbPU. It allowed 1.2 thousand students across the country to complete training and production internships at the company. VK has also launched new educational projects in AI: the School of Computer Science, Physics and Technology (bachelor's and Master's degree programs jointly with the National Research University of Higher School of Economics – St. Petersburg) and the Master's degree program "Artificial Intelligence and Social Media" (based at MIPT). In 2025, VK Education presented the IT show VK Education Talks, in which star guests attended lectures by VK experts at top universities and took exams. The show's releases have garnered over 2.7 million views on VK Videos.

The platform has scaled the VK Education Projects database of practical cases to more than 80 project tasks from VK services, which were attended by almost 5,000 students. The students were most interested in cases on predicting the gender of users of social networks, secure authorization methods and the development of mini-applications.

An important area of the year was the development of the Olympic movement. In the 2024/25 academic year, VK Education conducted and supported 17 Olympiads in the following areas: computer science, mathematics, artificial intelligence, information security, robotics and creative industries. More than 200 thousand schoolchildren and students took part in them. VK Education's career guidance programs have reached over 3 million schoolchildren — students in grades 1-11 took part in the "Numbers Lesson", the "Digital Educational Program", the "IT Diving" program and the career guidance simulator "Test drive of IT professions".

The number of VK Education experts, teachers and mentors in 2025 exceeded 1.1 thousand people, including key IT industry specialists: developers, ML engineers, analysts.
