The Prosecutor's office of Yakutia conducted an inspection at the republican center for the promotion of family education (Baby House) after three babies were injured there. Based on the results of the inspection, it was decided to initiate a criminal case under the article on negligence that caused serious harm to health.

According to IA YakutiaMedia, during the inspection, the supervisory authority revealed facts of negligence and systemic violations. All this led to the fact that the children were injured, including when they fell out of bed and as a result of the actions of another pupil while the adults were not around.

The incident occurred on November 24 in the reception and quarantine group. In the absence of caregivers, a five-year-old boy injured three babies born in 2025. The children also fell from the height of the cot. The injuries sustained by the children were classified as serious. The children were hospitalized.

Other violations were also found in the facility. Thus, the warning system turned out to be faulty, fire safety rules were violated, and labor laws were not respected. Following the results of the audit, representations were submitted to the director of the institution and the regional Ministry of Labor.

In late November, it was reported that a criminal case had been opened in the Moscow suburb of Istra against the organizers of a private rehabilitation center for teenagers, Anna Khobotova, where minors were systematically tortured and held against their will. According to the investigation, between August and November 2025, 24 teenagers were illegally detained in a rented house in Dedovsk, one of whom was hospitalized in critical condition with kidney failure and is in a coma.
