The results of the Russian competition for young scientists have been summed up

This year, the winners of the second competition for young scientists were the authors of 32 scientific papers from 20 regions of Russia. They will receive financial and methodological support for their projects to be implemented in the real sector of the economy, said the press service of Erion (which manages the assets of the MTS digital ecosystem), which organized the competition together with the Sistema charitable Foundation.

In total, 1.2 thousand projects were submitted for consideration by the expert jury, three times more than a year earlier. The participants presented their solutions in ten categories, including biotechnology, green energy, medicine and microelectronics, among others. Each of the directions is supervised by a partner company, the market leader of the relevant technology segment.

MTS was the curator of the Artificial Intelligence nomination: students, postgraduates and young scientists proposed solutions using artificial intelligence and the introduction of machine learning in natural and technical fields.

"As part of the competition for young scientists, MTS identifies promising initiatives that can become startups, and helps developers by shaping the country's scientific potential. Artificial intelligence tools and large language models have been implemented in the product verticals of the MTS digital ecosystem. We have accumulated impressive practical experience, which we are ready to share both within the framework of a competition for young scientists and through our own specialized educational programs," said Rovshan Aliyev, President of Erion (MTS Asset Management).

The winners of the competition and holders of special awards are representatives of federal and national research universities, technical universities, research institutes, and regional branches of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In addition to financial support for the implementation of their developments, they were invited to study at a school for young scientists and science organizers. This is a week-long intensive event that will bring together promising researchers, representatives of scientific organizations and domestic high-tech businesses.
