US President Donald Trump's special Envoy, Steven Witkoff, understands Russia's position on various issues better and better with each new discussion of the settlement in Ukraine with Russia. This was announced on December 17 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"Witkoff <...> implements the line of his president, but with each new contact we proceed from the fact that he has the opportunity to better understand our position on the most pressing issues," Peskov said.
