The Russian Armed Forces liberated the village of Gerasimovka in the Dnipropetrovsk region

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have liberated Gerasimovka in the Dnipropetrovsk region. This was announced on December 17 by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

It is specified that the operation to liberate the settlement was carried out by units of the Vostok group of forces. In addition, Russian military personnel defeated the manpower and equipment of a mechanized assault brigade, three enemy assault regiments, and a defense brigade in the areas of the settlements of Andreevka, Gavrilovka, Dnipropetrovsk region, Ternovatoye, Gulyai-Pole, and Kosovtsevo, Zaporizhia region.

Thus, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost up to 235 soldiers, two tanks, an armored personnel carrier, three US-made HMMWV armored fighting vehicles, nine vehicles and three field artillery pieces, including a 155-millimeter American M777 howitzer.

The German arms company, which lost the Bundeswehr tender, earns money on the Ukrainian contract.

Earlier, on December 16, the Russian military liberated the settlement of Novoplatonovka. According to the ministry, the enemy's losses amounted to more than 220 military personnel and four armored combat vehicles.

Before that, on December 14, it became known about the liberation of the village of Varvarovka in the Zaporizhia region. According to the Ministry of Defense, during the fighting, the manpower and equipment of two assault brigades, two regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a marine brigade and a defense brigade were defeated in the areas of seven settlements.
