The expert spoke about the role of humanoid robots in space exploration
A universal robot assistant must look like a human in order to function effectively in the modern world. Roman Dushkin, head of the Artificial Intelligence educational program at the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, told about this in the new issue of the podcast "Let's figure it Out" on December 17.
"The world we live in is made by man in order to live in this world himself. Any things that we use are made so that it would be convenient for our human body to use them," the expert explained.
Also, according to him, human—like robots will be needed for further space exploration, in particular, during the colonization of Mars.
"If we want to set up some kind of colony there, we need to send someone there to build this colony. And in order to build something convenient for us, future builders must also be like us," the expert noted.
Mars is already the only planet in the Solar System that is completely inhabited by robots, Dushkin pointed out.
Chief Surgeon of the Russian Ministry of Health, Director General of the Vishnevsky National Research Medical Center of Surgery of the Russian Ministry of Health, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Amiran Revishvili said that a cyberknife robot is currently working at the Vishnevsky National Research Medical Center, which helps treat cancer. In addition, he was involved in the fight against arrhythmia for the first time in the world.
