Over three years, more than 3 billion rubles will be invested in the renovation of power grids in the Rostov region.

In the next three years, it is planned to invest 3.1 billion rubles in the modernization of the power grids of the Rostov region. This became known at a working meeting between Governor Yuri Slyusar and CEO of ROSSETI Yug Alexey Rybin.

According to the press service of the head of the region, due to heavy loads on worn-out power grids in the region, the quality of energy supply suffers, and it is necessary to work systematically with this. "It's good that we will receive 3.1 billion rubles for three years. In the regional budget, we have provided our own co—financing for this," said Slyusar.

According to Rybin, the amount of financing for the program to improve the reliability of the electric grid complex is 21 billion rubles. "Of these, 3.1 billion rubles are already confirmed sources for the next three years, from 2026 to 2028. We have also signed a regulatory agreement between the Rostov region and the company, thanks to which we are bringing these more than 20 billion rubles to the development of the region's grid complex by 2031," the head of the company said.

He also noted the importance of cooperation with the regional government in obtaining a federal subsidy in the amount of 489 million rubles to compensate for the purchase of special equipment for power grids. Due to this, the tariff burden on consumers has been reduced by almost half a billion.

"This technique is very necessary, because it is the equipment of companies, the speed of eliminating accidents, and, therefore, providing residents with reliable energy supply," said Slyusar. In addition, according to the governor, the problem of electricity supply to farmers requires attention.
