A spontaneous memorial has appeared near a school in the Odintsovo city district of the Moscow region in memory of a schoolboy who died as a result of an attack on him by a teenager. On December 17, Izvestia showed footage from the scene.

Residents continue to bring new toys and flowers, piling them near the school fence. Battery-powered LED candles were placed around the memorial. A frame with the inscription "kid — Gorki-2 is grieving" also appeared.

A teenager was attacked with a knife at a school in Odintsovo city district on December 16. One student was killed in the incident. According to the Izvestia source, there were no metal detectors in the educational institution. Upon learning of the incident, the teachers conducted an urgent evacuation.

Later it became known about the arrest of the attacker. The injured were taken to the L.M. Roshal Children's Scientific and Clinical Center. A criminal case was opened into the incident. During the interrogation, the attacker had previously admitted his guilt in the crime.

Andrey Vorobyov, the governor of the Moscow Region, called for an analysis of everything that led to the tragedy at the Odintsovo school. According to him, it is necessary to make sure that what happened does not happen again.

Anatoly Vyborny, deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption, noted in an interview with Izvestia that, of course, after the attack at the Odintsovo school, an assessment of the actions of the security organization employee would be given.
