In the Zaporizhia region, 8963 subscribers were left without electricity due to another attack by a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). This was announced on December 17 by the governor of the region Evgeny Balitsky in his Telegram channel.

"The main equipment is damaged. The power engineers have already started restoration work," Balitsky wrote.

In the message, he also clarified that the drone strike hit one of the high-voltage supply lines located in close proximity to the line of combat contact.

The governor said that sapper groups are helping power engineers get closer to the affected line to begin repair work.
