The senator reminded Russians about the impact of military service on retirement
Conscripted soldiers receive 1.8 points, which will be taken into account when forming a future pension. This was announced on Wednesday, December 17, by Senator Natalia Melnikova, former head of the Pskov Region branch of the Social Fund of the Russian Federation.
"For each calendar year of military service, a conscript will receive a 1.8 pension coefficient. The CPI of military service is taken into account when calculating pensions by adding pension coefficients," RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.
Melnikova explained that these points will be taken into account if the conscript had other work experience for which insurance contributions were paid before or after his military service.
