Trump has recognized the current Venezuelan authorities as a foreign terrorist organization

On December 17, US President Donald Trump announced that he recognized the current Venezuelan authorities as a foreign terrorist organization.

"For stealing our assets and for many other reasons, including terrorism, drug smuggling and human trafficking, the Venezuelan regime has been declared a foreign terrorist organization," he wrote on his Truth Social network.

In addition, the head of the White House announced the introduction of a complete blockade for sanctioned tankers heading to Venezuela or leaving its waters. The American leader promised to continue building up military activity around the republic until it returns oil, land and assets to the States.
