Calculations of self-propelled guns "Hyacinth-S" destroyed an ammunition depot of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye region

The calculations of 152-millimeter Hyacinth-C self-propelled artillery units of the Dnepr group of forces perform tasks of counter-battery warfare and fire damage to military infrastructure facilities in Ukraine. This was announced on December 17 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"We have calculated the coordinates and, accordingly, we roll out after receiving the command. We are exposing the guns <...> in the direction of the enemy— our goal. And as the command arrives, we open fire," said the commander of the gun with the call sign Hassan.

Gunners strike artillery installations, armored vehicles, firing positions, ammunition depots and enemy defense areas with personnel. According to the ministry, during the combat work, the enemy's ammunition depot was discovered by means of reconnaissance. After confirming the location of the warehouse, the coordinates of the target were immediately transmitted to the command post of the artillery unit. It is noted that the calculation of the self-propelled artillery gun operated in difficult conditions, but thanks to the coordinated actions of the gunners, an accurate strike was delivered in a matter of minutes. It is specified that the calculation of the troops of unmanned systems (UAVs) recorded the detonation of ammunition as a result of the impact. After completing the firing task, the crew quickly changed and camouflaged the position.

On December 14, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the liberation of the village of Varvarovka in the Zaporizhia region by the Russian Army. It was noted that military personnel who are part of the units of the Vostok group of forces took part in the operation.

The ministry also reported on December 16 that Vostok units were conducting active assault operations in the Zaporozhye region in the Gulyai-Pole area, advancing by suppressing enemy firing points. A soldier with the call sign Jaeger clarified that Gulyai-Pole would soon be taken, despite the unclean airspace in that area.
