The White House announced the US president's address to the nation on December 17.
US President Donald Trump intends to address the nation on December 17 at 21:00 (December 18 at 5:00 Moscow time). This was announced on Tuesday, December 16, by White House press Secretary Caroline Leavitt.
"President Trump will address the nation live from the White House at 21:00 tomorrow evening. <...> He will talk about his achievements over the past 11 months, about everything he has done to restore greatness to the country," she said, answering questions from reporters.
According to her, the American leader may share with the public some initiatives that are planned to be implemented in the coming year. Trump, Leavitt added, will outline the future actions of his administration, which will continue to serve the interests of the American people in the next three years.
The head of the White House announced on April 28 that he considers the achievements of his administration in the first 100 days of his presidency to be "historic." Then he also promised to bring his country closer to entering the so-called golden age.
On the same day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced a "relatively recent" telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Trump. The Axios portal learned on December 16 that Washington plans to approach Moscow with a "strong package" of proposals in the near future.
