The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) has recorded four cases of the execution of Russian prisoners of war in Ukraine, the agency is studying reliable statements about three more such cases. This was announced on December 16 by the head of the department Volker Turk.

"My team has recorded four cases of the execution of Russian prisoners of war by the Ukrainian armed forces, and we are studying reliable statements about three more such incidents," RIA Novosti news agency quoted the head of the OHCHR.

Turk also said that since mid-November, UN representatives have held talks with 127 Russian prisoners of war. He stressed that half of them reported ill-treatment and torture in transit before arriving at official places of detention.
