The Russian Embassy called on the UK to stop portraying Russia as an enemy.
The Russian Embassy in London has called on Britain to stop portraying Russia as an enemy and denied allegations of an alleged threat from Moscow. This became known on December 16 from a statement by the diplomatic mission in response to statements from British politicians.
"We consider it necessary to recall a few obvious facts. Russia has no plans, intentions or reasons to enter into an armed confrontation with the United Kingdom, which scares the local press of its audience," the text of the embassy's message reports RIA Novosti.
The diplomatic mission added that "all the slander in the genre of "hybrid threats" is also completely unfounded."
On December 13, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova drew attention to the fact that the European Union's policy towards Russia has long been devoid of any sound logic and resembles a theater of the absurd. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on December 15 that the actions of the EU countries are the main threat in the world at the moment.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on December 2 that Russia was not going to go to war with Europe. According to him, the Russian Federation is currently operating in Ukraine "surgically," but in the event of an attack by European countries on Russia, everything will be different.
