In the Second Western District Military Court, during the arguments of the parties, the prosecutor's office asked to find Andrei Pronsky, Timofey Mokia, Vladimir Belyakov, Vladimir Stepanov, Maxim Druzhinin, Andrei Volkov and Denis Abrarov guilty of the attempted murder of journalist Vladimir Solovyov, and to sentence them to 13 to 30 years in prison. This was announced on December 16 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.
The prosecutor's office also requested that Pronsky be sentenced to life imprisonment, Belyakov to 30 years, Mokiya to 29 years in a high—security penal colony, Stepanov to 29 years, Druzhinin to 28 years, Volkov to 22 years in a penal colony, and Abrarov to 13 years in a strict regime.
It was established that the accused Pronsky became the leader of a neo-Nazi group in 2021 and began to attract supporters. Mokiy, Belyakov, Stepanov, Druzhinin, Volkov, Strizhakov and several others joined it.
In April 2022, the FSB of Russia suppressed the activities of a terrorist group planning the murder of Solovyov. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation said that during the searches, an improvised explosive device, eight homemade Molotov cocktails, six PM pistols, a sawn-off hunting rifle, drugs, etc. were seized from the attackers.
On November 26, 2025, it was reported that those accused of the attempted murder of TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov planned to eliminate him with the help of poisoned pizza. So, the defendants planned to establish Solovyov's residential address, track his order from the delivery, intercept and transfer the poisoned food to the journalist. The attackers also considered killing the TV presenter with the help of poison, which they intended to apply to the steering wheel of the car. The third option was to blow up Solovyov's car.
Later, on November 27, an improvised explosive device (IED) and passports in the name of Ukrainian citizens were found in Andrey Pronsky's Moscow apartment.
