Russia opposes the deployment of multinational forces on the territory of Ukraine, as they are part of NATO. Grigory Karasin, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, expressed this opinion on Tuesday, December 16.

"It sounds like, allegorically, the presence of NATO troops on the territory of Ukraine, which, of course, we will object to. <...> The deployment of national forces on the territory of Ukraine sounds odious and unacceptable," the senator said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

Karasin stressed that such a contingent is part of the North Atlantic Alliance, and Russia is protesting and will continue to protest against the bloc's presence on the territory of Ukraine.
