The UK will allocate 600 million pounds (about $805 million) to strengthen Ukraine's air defense systems. This was announced on December 16 by British Defense Minister John Healy.

"The UK's £600 million investment in air defense this year is a critical aid," he told LBC radio.

The article clarifies that as part of the new package, the UK will supply more than 20 remotely controlled turrets to protect facilities from drones, five Raven anti-aircraft systems and the first Gravehawk air defense systems.

The Times newspaper reported on December 4 that the UK had expressed its readiness to transfer frozen Russian assets worth £8 billion to Ukraine, which is equivalent to $10.6 billion. It was specified that these funds will be able to cover more than two thirds of Kiev's financial needs for the next two years.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on November 27 that the confiscation of Russian assets located in the European Union would have negative consequences. In particular, the Russian government, on behalf of the head of state, is developing a package of retaliatory measures.
