Australian actor Martin Grelis, who played in The Matrix, has died.

Australian actor Martin Grelis, known for his participation in the film "The Matrix", died at the age of 58. This was announced on December 16 by Sophie Jermyn Management agency on the Instagram social network (owned by Meta, whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

"We are saddened by the news of the passing of our beloved client Martin Grelis. <...> We express our condolences and sympathy to his family and loved ones at this difficult time. He left too soon," the publication says.

Grelis began his acting career in the late 1990s. In 1999, he played the role of Boba Fett in the Star Wars fan project Dark Redemption. Later, the actor starred in the Australian film project "Iron Sky", and also appeared in "The Matrix", where he played a military helicopter pilot.

Martin Grelis' latest work was a role in the TV series Alpha and His Virgin Bride, released this year.
