What happened

The incident occurred this morning in one of the educational institutions of the village of Gorki-2. According to preliminary data, a middle school student attacked people at school with a knife. A source from Izvestia reported that three people were injured.

The footage published by Izvestia shows people leaving the school building and taking refuge in the entrance of the nearest apartment building. Presumably, the school was evacuated after the attack.

Information about the wounded

According to the updated information, the minor stabbed the guard and one of the students. The injured child died. Information about the condition of other victims is currently being clarified.

The Children's Ombudsman of the Moscow Region, Ksenia Mishonova, stressed that all necessary assistance and support will be provided to children and school staff.

The criminal case

The schoolboy who attacked with a knife was detained. On the fact of the incident, the investigative authorities of the GSU IC of Russia in the Moscow region opened a criminal case under Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, Part 3 of Article 30, part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

"Currently, investigators and criminologists of the regional Investigative Committee of Russia have gone to the scene of the incident. All the circumstances of the incident are being established," the ministry said in a statement.

In addition, it is known that there are no metal detectors in the school near Moscow, where the teenager committed the attack. The attacker managed to completely carry a knife and an IED inside. The student was purposefully looking for a specific teacher, while no one was confused by his behavior.
