Three bloggers were searched in the case of undesirable organizations
Bloggers Alexei Sokolov, Larisa Zakharova, and Roman Kachanov (recognized by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation as a foreign agent) were searched in Yekaterinburg in the case of undesirable organizations. This was announced on December 16 by a source of Izvestia.
"Bloggers, under the guise of human rights activities in places of detention, used grant funds from the Norwegian Helsinki Committee and the National Endowment for Democracy, which were recognized as undesirable in our country. — Ed.)," he said.
It is noted that the materials of criminal cases under Article 284.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Carrying out the activities of an undesirable organization") became the reason for the inspection.
Earlier, on July 11, the Norwegian Helsinki Committee (Den Norske Helsingforskomité) was added to the list of foreign and international non-governmental organizations (NGOs) whose activities are considered undesirable in Russia. Along with this, the Ukrainian Charitable Foundation "SOS Army" was added to the list of undesirable.
