Rulev: the Ukrainian Armed Forces' attempt to stage a sabotage in Novorossiysk did not achieve its goal

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have attempted sabotage using an underwater drone in Novorossiysk. This was announced on December 16 by the head of the press service of the Black Sea Fleet, Captain first rank Alexei Rulev.

"The enemy's attempt to carry out sabotage using an unmanned underwater vehicle did not achieve its goals," he is quoted as saying on the Telegram channel of the Russian Defense Ministry.

The information of the Ukrainian special services about the allegedly destroyed Russian submarine at the naval base in Novorossiysk does not correspond to reality. Rulev stressed that not a single ship was damaged.

Earlier in the day, the crew of the Su-34 multifunctional supersonic fighter-bomber of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) attacked the personnel and control center of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The ministry clarified that this operation was carried out in the area of responsibility of the Vostok group of forces.
