A woman and two children died in a fire in the Vologda region.
A woman and two children died as a result of a fire in the Town of Kichmeng, Vologda region. This was announced on December 16 by the head of the Kichmengsko-Gorodetsky district Andrey Andrinovich.
"On December 16, at 01:44 Moscow time, a fire broke out at the address: 60 Zarechnaya Street, Kichmengsky Gorodok. Previously, a woman born in 1997 and two children born in 2015 and 2016 died. The causes of the fire are being clarified," Andrinovich said on his page on the VKontakte social network.
According to the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region, published on the department's Telegram channel, two residents of one apartment evacuated before the arrival of firefighters, and a man with his three-year-old son ran out of the neighboring apartment. At the same time, his 28-year-old roommate and two children (a 10-year-old girl and a nine-year-old boy) could presumably stay in the house.
At the moment, open gorenje has been eliminated. Two victims were found inside the building, their identities are being established. Specialists are working at the scene, the circumstances and causes of the incident are being investigated.
Earlier in the day, a large fire destroyed four apartments in the Sakhalin region in the Nogliki district. It was clarified that the fire alarm was received at about 1:30 local time (17:30 Moscow time).
