The authorities of the Smolensk region announced the elimination of four Ukrainian UAVs

Electronic warfare (EW) equipment suppressed four unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Smolensk region. This was announced on December 16 by the governor of the region Vasily Anokhin.

"Dear Smolyans, four Ukrainian UAVs have been suppressed by the Russian Ministry of Defense's electronic warfare systems in the territory of the Smolensk Region," reads a message posted on his Telegram channel.

The head of the region clarified that there were no casualties or damage as a result of the incident, and representatives of operational services are working at the crash site of the defused vehicles. He urged residents to observe security measures, trust only verified information and, if parts of the UAV are found, call 112 without approaching them.

Anokhin also recalled that in the Smolensk region, a ban has been imposed on the dissemination of information about the consequences of the use of UAVs, the operation of air defense and electronic warfare systems, as well as security locations for fuel and energy complex (fuel and energy complex) facilities, communications, industry, housing and communal services, bridges, military and other critical facilities.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported last night that air defense systems had eliminated 10 Ukrainian drones over the territory of the Bryansk region. The ministry's statement noted that the destruction of the devices was carried out for three hours, from 20:00 to 23:00 Moscow time.
