A resident of Omsk is awaiting trial for the death of her nephew in a fall from a window

A criminal investigation into the death of a four-year-old child as a result of a fall from a window has been completed in Omsk. The boy's aunt is involved in it, according to the regional Investigative Committee and the prosecutor's office.

The tragedy occurred on the morning of September 13 in an apartment building on 3rd Lyublinskaya Street. According to the investigation, a 42-year-old Omsk resident went to work, leaving six underage children unattended.

A four-year-old boy suffering from an organic personality disorder climbed onto the windowsill, opened the window and leaned on the mosquito net, which could not withstand the weight of the child and fell out, dragging him along. The boy died as a result of falling from the eighth floor, OmskMedia news agency writes.

The investigation of the criminal case under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Causing death by negligence" has been completed. According to the prosecutor's office, the woman fully admitted her guilt.

The materials were submitted to the Kirovsky District Court for consideration on the merits. The maximum sanction of this article provides for up to two years of imprisonment.
