Putin has ratified an agreement with India on the procedure for sending military
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law on the ratification of the agreement between Russia and India on the procedure for sending military personnel, ships and aircraft between the countries. The document of the law was published on the website of the official publication of legal acts.
The document states that the organization of logistics will be carried out on a reciprocal basis. The agreement makes it possible to simplify the mutual penetration of the armed forces of the two countries into each other's territories, thus speeding up the organization of joint military exercises and assistance in the elimination of man-made disasters.
Putin paid a two-day state visit to India on December 4. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally met the Russian leader upon his arrival in the state, and after that they went to an informal meeting in the same car. In addition, negotiations between the two leaders took place at the same time, which lasted more than two hours.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to approve a program of economic cooperation until 2030. The Russian leader, in turn, noted that Russia and India have done a lot of work to develop relations, and the opportunities for cooperation are expanding. In turn, Modi also stressed that the skilful leadership of the Russian leader contributed to the development of relations between Moscow and New Delhi.
