Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov outlined to the members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia his assessment of the prospects for the development of relations between Moscow and Washington. This was announced on December 15 by the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"The minister outlined assessments of current trends in the development of the international situation, as well as prospects for Russian-American relations, taking into account the demonstrated commitment of the Administration of US President Donald Trump to promote a sustainable settlement of the conflict over Ukraine," the statement said.

According to the press service, during the event, a useful exchange of views took place on a number of topical topics, with an emphasis on the constructive role that the business community can play in giving impetus to the restoration of trade and investment ties between the two countries.

A regular meeting of representatives of the United States, Ukraine and the EU will be held in Berlin on December 15.
