A woman who was injured in a partial collapse of a house in the Volgograd region has died in hospital. Information about this was confirmed on December 15 in the press service of the regional health committee.
"A woman who was in the intensive care unit of the Central City Hospital No. 1 in Kamyshin, despite all the measures taken by doctors, died from severe injuries incompatible with life," the committee told RIA Novosti.
On December 11, four people, including a child, were injured in a gas explosion in an apartment building in the city of Petrov Val in the Volgograd region. The incident occurred on Lenin Street and led to the partial destruction of the building.
A criminal case has been opened. According to the investigation, domestic gas was depressurized in one of the apartments of the house, which led to a pop and partial collapse of the inter-apartment floors. The neighbors, who opened the room with a spare key, were hit by a gas explosion and were injured. No one was living in the apartment at the time of the incident.
