Honored Rescuer of the Russian Federation Sergey Shchetinin told about this on Monday, December 15, commenting on the loss of a tourist group on Mount Oslyanka in the Perm Region.

According to the expert, before going on a hike, the group had to thoroughly prepare: get acquainted with the weather forecast for the near future, choose the appropriate equipment, make up a route, inform the Ministry of Emergency Situations where it plans to go, and also create an emergency reserve in case of unforeseen situations. It was also necessary to work out additional routes in case of evacuation.

He stressed that all nature and mountain hikes, from the lightest to the heaviest, always require additional attention.

"How do I keep warm? First of all, knowledge of the area, a map, the presence of hunting lodges, winter quarters or tents for temporary shelter, and the creation of an igloo will help. [All measures to preserve heat and inform about where they are will help," Shchetinin said in an interview with Paragraph.

On December 13, a group of 15 tourists disappeared in the area of Mount Oslyanka in the Perm Region. On the same day, the two tourists who were the first to descend from the mountain returned to the village.
