Geely unveils flagship crossover for Russia

Chinese automaker Geely has announced a new top-end version of its Monjaro crossover. This was reported on December 15 by the company's press service.

The Flagship SE (Special Edition) features an exclusive green color and 20-inch thin-spoked wheels. The power plant and transmission have not changed, but there is an additional driving mode for moving on the sand. In addition, shock absorbers with adjustable stiffness are used in the suspension.

A new transmission mode selector appeared in the interior, and the sun visors received transparent inserts. The shape and upholstery of the front seats have been changed, the driver's seat is now adjustable in 12 directions and has six massage modes. The front passenger seat has a memory of settings, adjustment buttons from the back row. The seat back unfolds to a horizontal position. Passengers in the back row were able to adjust the backrest angle using the keys on the doors.

The head unit now supports integration with an iOS smartphone, and there is a new audio system with 12 speakers, two of which are located in the headrests of the front seats. Additional adaptation to the Russian climate implies an increased washer tank to five liters.

The price of the Flagship SE (Special Edition) is 4.9 million rubles, the start of sales will be announced later.

On December 5, the Chinese Cars portal reported that the certification process for three new models of the revived domestic Volga brand had begun in Russia. According to him, the cars were based on cars from the Chinese company Geely. Nizhny Novgorod Passenger Cars has received declarations of conformity for three Volga trucks, these documents are used in the process of obtaining Vehicle Type Approval (OTT), necessary for the official launch of car sales in the Russian Federation, followed by the issuance of vehicle passports.
