New Lada Vesta gets "smart access"
The Lada Vesta family of the 2026 model range has been equipped with new options, including extended keyless entry and autorun. This was announced on December 15 by the press service of AVTOVAZ.
Now the key card automatically unlocks the door locks if the owner gets within a meter and a half of the car. If desired, this function can be deactivated via the on-board computer. When starting the engine with a button, the key card can be in a pocket of clothes or a bag. At the beginning of the movement, the locks are automatically locked. They are also blocked after the end of the trip, when the driver leaves the car with the key in his pocket.
The engine can be started remotely from the key card. The engine will run for 10 minutes, and the start cycle can be extended or repeated if necessary. The auto-start is triggered when the doors are locked and the parking brake is applied.
The multimedia system has received services from Sberbank and other leading Russian companies.
The keyless entry and autorun system is now equipped with all Vesta trim levels for the 2026 model year, starting with the basic one. Also, front windows with automatic mode have appeared in the equipment. The Typhoon metallic grey paint has been resumed, which is now available for all versions of the family, not just for sports modifications.
The recommended retail price of the basic Lada Vesta configuration remains unchanged — from 1 million 525 thousand rubles. AvtoVAZ estimated the cost of a set of technological updates for the 2026 model year, increasing comfort and functionality, at 54 thousand rubles.
On December 5, the analytical agency Autostat reported that prices for new passenger cars have doubled in five years. The weighted average price of a new passenger car in November 2025 was 3.54 million rubles, which is 2.9% higher than in October and 16% more than in November last year.
