The expert spoke about the provision of medicines for patients with cystic fibrosis
The number of adult patients with cystic fibrosis is growing in Russia, but access to modern therapy remains extremely limited. This was announced on December 15 during a press conference of the All-Russian Society of Rare (Orphan) Diseases on the topic: Irina Myasnikova, Chairman of the Board of the All-Russian Society of Orphan Diseases, member of the Board of Trustees of the Circle of Goodness Foundation, told the Izvestia News Center "Problems and prospects of medical care for adult patients with orphan diseases in Russia".
According to her, although cystic fibrosis is formally included in the high-cost nosology program, it includes only one drug, a mucolytic. Other drugs, such as an innovative three-component targeted therapy that truly changes patients' lives, remain unavailable. They are very expensive, and according to the criteria for expanding the program, they simply cannot be included in it.
On December 7, the Sohu media portal spoke about the ability of an emotional state to worsen heart health. It was clarified that strong emotions such as anger, anxiety and depression can significantly increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. According to the publication, heart problems can develop with constant stress and emotional overload.
