Murmansk authorities decided not to raise contributions for the overhaul
In the Murmansk Region in 2026, contributions for major repairs will remain at the same level. Governor Andrey Chibis, reporting on this, called the topic of capital repairs sensitive for the vast majority of residents.
According to the head of the region, quoted by the Bi-port news agency, time is not easy, it is difficult for many people to pay for utilities. Therefore, a similar decision was made.
In 2026, utilities will become more expensive twice: from January 1 — by 1.7%, from October 1 — by 15%.
On December 11, Alexander Yakubovsky, a member of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing and Communal Services (Housing and Communal Services), warned that utility bills for December 2025 would need to be paid by January 12, 2026. According to the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 354, the consumer is obliged to pay for utilities no later than the 10th day of the month following the settlement. However, in January 2026, the 10th day falls on a Saturday, so the deadline is postponed to the next working day - Monday, January 12th.
