A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Units of the North group of forces defeated formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of settlements in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The enemy lost over 270 people, 13 vehicles, an electronic warfare (EW) station and four material depots.
The military personnel of the Zapad group continued the destruction of the enemy group surrounded on the left bank of the Oskol River, and also hit the manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a number of settlements of the DPR and the Kharkiv region. The enemy's losses amounted to more than 220 military personnel, six armored combat vehicles, including two Stryker armored personnel carriers and two HMMWV armored vehicles manufactured in the United States. 12 vehicles, two artillery pieces, two electronic warfare stations, a US-made AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery radar station and three ammunition depots were destroyed.
The southern group of troops occupied more advantageous lines and positions, and also defeated the enemy in a number of settlements of the DPR. The enemy lost up to 195 militants, an armored combat vehicle, nine vehicles, two artillery pieces, three ammunition depots and four fuel depots.
The Center group of troops continued the destruction of the encircled enemy in the city of Dimitrov in the DPR and the cleansing of the settlements of Svetloye, Grishino and Rodinskoye. The enemy's losses amounted to over 490 people, six armored combat vehicles, including two US-made M113 armored personnel carriers, five vehicles and two artillery pieces, including the American 155-mm M777 howitzer.
As a result of decisive actions, units of the Vostok group of forces liberated the village of Peschanoe in the Dnipropetrovsk region, and also defeated Ukrainian formations in a number of settlements in the Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 240 soldiers, eight vehicles, an artillery piece, two electronic warfare stations and two warehouses of materiel.
The military personnel of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the formations of two mechanized brigades, the coastal defense brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the air defense brigade and the National Guard brigade in the areas of the settlements of the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions. The enemy lost up to 65 Ukrainian militants, two armored combat vehicles, 17 vehicles, six field artillery guns, four electronic warfare stations, an ammunition depot and a depot for materiel.
Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated transport infrastructure facilities involved in the delivery of Western weapons to Ukraine, ammunition depots, fuel, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 167 areas.
Air defense systems shot down a Thunder-2 tactical missile, 17 US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and 545 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.
According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 669 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 103182 unmanned aerial vehicles, 639 anti-aircraft missile systems, 26546 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1631 multiple rocket launchers, 31915 field artillery guns and mortars, 49076 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
