Vinokur called Levon Oganezov a legendary man

People's Artist of Russia, musician and composer Levon Oganezov was a man of legend. This was announced to Izvestia on December 15 by pop artist and comedian Vladimir Vinokur.

"Levon Oganezov is a story. I have never met a musician of this class in my life. I bow to the memory of a great musician and man," he stressed.

The People's Artist of the USSR died at the age of 93 on the night of August 29.

The composer's death became known on December 14, he died at the age of 85. Oganezov was an Honored Artist of the USSR, a laureate of numerous music awards and a recognized master of classical and jazz music. He has toured extensively around the world, performed in major concert halls in Europe, the USA and Australia, and taught music to young pianists and composers.

Levon Oganezov's farewell will take place on December 16 in New York.
