Weather forecasters reported the frostiest night in Moscow
In Moscow, last night turned out to be the most frosty in the current winter season. This was announced on December 15 by Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos Weather Center.
"The minimum temperature at the capital's main weather station VDNKh was -8.2 degrees, in Tushino -9.3 degrees, Butovo -9.4 degrees, and in Baltschug -7.8 degrees. Such indicators correspond to the climatic norm of December," the Telegram channel said.
In the Moscow region, ten-degree frosts were observed in Taldom, Klin, Dmitrov, Sergiev Posad, Solnechnogorsk, Voskresensk, Zheleznodorozhny, Serpukhov, Kashira, Shakhovskaya, Lugovaya and Moscow region.
The lowest temperature was recorded at the local pole of cold — in Cherusty, where thermometers showed -11.8 degrees.
Earlier, on December 13, Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, reported that the snow that fell in Moscow and the Moscow region on Saturday night would not last until the New Year: it would melt during the upcoming thaws.
On the same day, Leus noted that on the night of December 12-13, Moscow recorded the lowest temperature since the beginning of the autumn-winter season: the thermometer dropped to -5.8 degrees at the VDNKh station.
